PIDO International is a charity organisation focuses on empowering communities, protecting human rights, reducing poverty, and eliminating gender-based violence.
About Pido International
PIDO International is a charitable, non-political, non-sectional, philanthropic, Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2016, but registered in 2023 with the Malawi Ministry of Justice through the Registrar of Companies, and registered with Council for Non-Governmental Organisations in Malawi in 2024. It has its office located at Bvumbwe Trading Centre in Thyolo, Malawi, but with operations across the country.
Meet the Founder
Pilirani Mombe Nyoni is a Social Media activist and Founder of Pido Interntional.
Pilirani is a courageous and fearless woman, who has stood up against injustice where everyone feared to stand.
In 2023, Pilirani was accorded an Award of Excellence in reporting Human Trafficking by Reene Jones.
Our Mission
PIDO International works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work.

To bring a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security.
Achievements / Projects
Over the years, PIDO International has been a harbour of safety for victimized individuals under the thematic areas in which it operates. The
organization has partnered Malawi Police Service and other judicial bodies to expedite justice for the victims of social injustice and abuse.
PIDO International has provided material support to Malawi Police Service and other local Community Based Organisations to support their fight
against injustice among members of the community.
PIDO International has, with the help of paralegal officers facilitated court hearings of people imprisoned without trial, or those that the organization
felt were wrongly put under detention. This has seen a number of people securing their freedom from jail.
Charity and Funding
Since its inception PIDO International’s operations have been funded by the Founder, Pilirani Mombe Nyoni, as well as voluntary service providers
from the communities in which the organization operates.
Due to the increasing demand for its services, owing to the impact the organization is having on the communities, PIDO International plans to
secure funding from credible institutions to expand its reach, and increase the societal impact the organization is currently enjoying since its inception
in 2016.
As a charity organisation funded by well-wishers, we always welcome donations to support our efforts. Our key projects focus on:
- Gender-Based Violence: Educating communities, reducing incidents, supporting survivors, and advocating for women’s rights.
- Human Rights: Raising awareness about children’s and women’s rights and promoting their protection and equality.
- Human Trafficking: Raising public awareness, eradicating human trafficking, and preventing it through education and advocacy.
- Poverty Reduction: Empowering communities, developing sustainable development models, and improving social and economic conditions.
